It comes down to three things: how many kilometres you drive, whether you can charge at home, and how long you plan to keep the car. Multiply the energy you add, in kWh, by your electricity tariff. Home charging is normally the cheapest way to run an EV, while public fast charging is priced higher per unit. The calculator on this page works this out from your own tariff and daily distance.
